Obituary for Carlton Truman Cornish

A Chaplin resident, Mr. Carlton Truman Cornish, age 48, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 in The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg. He was born October 21, 1969 in Bardstown to Carlton and Margaret Riley Cornish. He was a truck driver, former employee of American Fuji Seal, and a member of Chaplin Baptist Church. Truman loved to fish and hunt, gardening, and playing with his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carlton Cornish, and a niece, Tabitha Brooke Stephens.
He is survived by his daughter, Kayla Cornish (Fiancé Thomas Brothers) of New Haven, his son, Cody Cornish of Bloomfield, his grandson, Garrett Brothers, his mother, Margaret Riley Cornish of Chaplin, 5 sisters, Kathy (Jerry) Hagan, Debbie (Gary) Morrow, both of Lawrenceburg, Alda Morris of Chaplin, Tammy (Jeffery) Isham of Mackville, Pam (Chris) Stephens of Chaplin, 2 brothers, Ezra (Larissa) Cornish, Floyd (Ashley) Cornish, both of Chaplin, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Carlton Truman Cornish will be 1:00 pm, Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Bro. Matt Ashby will officiate. Interment will be in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin. Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 pm Sunday. The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
