A Taylorsville resident, Mr. Charles Russell “Rusty” Netherton, age 64, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at his residence. He was born December 15, 1953 in Louisville to the late Tom and Opha Taylor Netherton. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Doris Helton, and 3 brothers Cecil, Jimmy and Jerry Darnell. Rusty was a farmer, loved the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. He was member of the Little Union Baptist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Leeann Goodlett (Jeremy Hardin) his son, Troy Netherton ( Casey Turnes), a sister Marjorie Bowman of Bloomfield, 3 grandchildren Chelsea, Hannah & Jacob Goodlett, and 4 step -grandchildren, Makenzie and Lelund Turnes & Luke and Emilee Hardin.

Funeral services for Mr.Charles Russell “Rusty” Netherton will be Thursday July 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville. Bro. Eric Gilbert Officiating. Interment will be in Little Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville, Wednesday July 25, 2018 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
