Obituary for Dawn Renee' Whitson

A Bardstown resident, Miss Dawn Renee’ Whitson, age 50, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at Baptist East Health in Louisville. She was born on October 6, 1967 at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base in Gwinn, Michigan. For the last 2 years Renee’ has been at Bardstown Healthcare where she had formed a lot of friendships with the staff and other residents. She also attended Active Day where she was also loved by their staff and was one of God’s special angels.
She was preceded in death by her father Donald Eugene Whitson.
She is survived by her mother, Marlene J. Brown Whitson of Bardstown, 2 sisters, Leslie Whitson of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Melody “Lynn” Whitson-Powell of Bardstown, and nieces and nephews, Mindy, Brita, Riley Eugene, Morgan, Paige, Stephanie, Nichole and Alyssa.
Funeral services for Miss Renee’ Whitson will be Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 3:30pm at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Brother Brad Woods officiating with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 11:00am-3:30pm at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, who is in charge of arrangements. The family request that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Active Day of Bardstown.
