Obituary for Harold McMakin Jr.

A Bardstown resident, Mr. Harold McMakin Jr., age 59, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Kensington Center in Elizabethtown. He was born November 30, 1958 in Bardstown to the late Harold and Nellie Beeler McMakin Sr. Harold was a construction worker, former employee of Florida Tile, member of the Bloomfield 2nd Baptist Church and loved riding motorcycles and going fishing.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Owen McMakin.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Saretha (Andre Lydian) Litsey, Felicia Litsey, both of Bardstown, Lorraine (Jovan) Peterkin of Indianapolis, IN., his son, Quinton (Brittany Gibson) Poytner of Bardstown, 2 sisters, Vicki (Darryl) Carter of Bloomfield, Damita Joy (Jeff) Moran of Nashville, TN., his brother, Claude McMakin of Shelbyville and 7 grandchildren.
Bloomfield 2nd Baptist Church at 145 Hill Street, Bloomfield, will host his visitation at 12:00 noon Saturday, February 17, 2018 followed by a home going service at 2:00 pm. Rev. Joseph Marshall and Rev. Jeff Moran will officiate. Interment will be in Bloomfield Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Houghlin Funeral Home.
