Obituary for Harold Robert "H.R." Millsap

A New Haven resident, formerly of Cox’s Creek, Mr. Harold Robert “H.R.” Millsap, age 93, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 4, 1924 in Harlan County, KY., to the late Arthur and Missouri Jennings Millsap. H.R. was a United States Army Veteran, a retired maintenance employee for the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, an employee at SB Foot Tanning as a Tanner for Red Wings Shoes in Red Wings, MN., was a Christian, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and a member of the American Legion Post 121.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Millsap, his son in law, Danny Hutchins, 4 brothers, and 1 sister.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah “Deb” Hutchins of Bardstown, Danny (Judy) Millsap of New Haven, Robbie (Denise) Millsap of Bardstown, James (Jodi) Millsap of Burlington, KY., 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Harold Robert “H.R.” Millsap will be 11:00 am Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road. Rev. Danny Bryan will officiate. Interment will be in Bardstown Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00-8:00 pm. The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
