Obituary for James Marvin Mattingly

A Louisville resident, Mr. James Marvin Mattingly, age 79, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. He was born May 16, 1938 in Fairfield to the late Charlie and Viola Mattingly. James was a retired employee of Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co., and a member of Little Union Baptist Church.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Heins, a sister, Frances Richardson Thomas, and 2 brothers, W.C. Mattingly and Frank Mattingly.
He is survived by his sister, Ruby Smith of Dayton, OH., 2 brothers, Billy Mack (Nancy) Mattingly of Tacoma, WA., Shelby G. (Sue) Mattingly of Franklin, OH., and his son in law, Dan Heinsof Louisville. 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. James Marvin Mattingly will be 11:00 am, Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Bro. Will Sipes will officiate. Interment will be in Little Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 pm. The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
