Obituary for Joseph Meredith "Joe" Waldridge

A Bardstown resident, Mr. Joseph Meredith “Joe” Waldridge, 76, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. He was born on October 18, 1941 in Bloomfield to the late Walter Merit and Rachael Ranschaert Waldridge. Joe was a former employee of Heaven Hill, was a member of Whiskey City Cruisers, loved to restore old cars and work in the garden. He was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar Waldridge, 2 sisters, Juanita Waldridge and Joyce Satterly.
He is survived by his wife Judy O’Bryan Waldridge, a son, Dr. Bryan (Sonja) Waldridge of Georgetown, daughter, Jolie (Jeff) Waldridge Coulter of Bardstown, 3 grandchildren, Sydney Coulter, Lainey Coulter, Bobby McHan and 2 great grandchildren, Bryan McHan and Adam McHan and his brother-in-law Joe O’Bryan of Bardstown.
A Christian Mass will be Monday, August 27, 2018 at 11:00am at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with Reverend Joseph Batcheldor celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00-8:00pm with evening prayers and Monday after 8:30am at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, who is in charge of arrangements. The family request that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Old Friends Farm, 1841 Paynes Depot Road, Georgetown, KY., 40324.
