Obituary for Judith "Judy" Hahn

A Bardstown resident Ms. Judith Ray “Judy” Hahn, age 72, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 in Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born July 19, 1946 in Chaplin to the late Virgil “Dutch” and Catherine Blanton Hahn. She was a retired teacher with the Nelson County Board of Education for 30 years, was a graduate of Nazareth College and the University of Kentucky. Judy was a member of the Nelson County Retired Teachers Association and a member of My Old Kentucky Home Chapter #436 Order of the Eastern Star. She was known for her quick wit, her love of clothes and her beloved cat Princess.
She was preceded in death by her brother Virgil Lee Hahn.
She is survived by a niece, Kathy “Hap” Girouard of Tyler, Texas, 3 nephews, Lee (Benita) Hahn, Jr., of Louisville, Roy T. (Vicki) Hahn of Tyler, Texas, Lt. Colonel Allen (Penny) Hahn of Ft. Worth, Texas, several great nieces and nephews also survive.
There will be a graveside service Friday, September 21, 2018 at 11:00am at Highview Cemetery in Chaplin. Visitation will be Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, who is in charge of arrangements.
