Obituary for Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Sea

A Shepherdsville resident, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Sea, age 83, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017 at Baptist Health in Louisville. She was born April 3, 1933 in Versailles to the late Edgar and Fannie Jane Barnett Scrogham. Libby was a homemaker, former employee of General Electric and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Shepherdsville.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Sidney F. Sea, her second husband, Walter Stanfield, a son, Michael Keith Sea and 3 brothers, Charles, Wayne and William Jr. Scrogham.
She is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Henry) Sattich of Shepherdsville, her son, Sidney (Yvonne) Sea of Louisville, 4 sisters, Ruby (Bro. Paul) Hagerman, Lois Newton, both of Chaplin, Ellen (Morgan) Hellard and Helen Coulter both of Louisville, 2 brothers, Robert (Irene) Scrogham of Lawrenceburg, Lee Scrogham of Fairfield, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and her beloved pet dog, Buddy.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Sea will be 11:00 am Monday, December 18, 2017 at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Bro. Carl Thomas will officiate. Interment will be in Highview Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00-8:00 pm. The Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
