Obituary for Paul Everett Scites Jr.

A Bardstown resident, Mr. Paul Everett Scites Jr., age 79, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at his residence. He was born December 11, 1938 in Huntington, WV. to the late Paul Everett and Lucille Moreland Scites Sr. He was a retired employee of Kaiser Aluminum, a member of Wickland Baptist Church where he was a Deacon Emeritus, and was a United States Army Veteran. Paul was an avid golfer, and loved hunting, fishing, and reading.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Eva Moreland.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Bussard Scites, 2 daughters, Dr. Lisa (Jay) Allen of Bardstown, P.J. (Richard) Burns of Nicholasville, and 4 grandchildren, Trey (Sara) Allen, Andrew Paul Burns, Lori (Nathan) Petrie, and Lydia Burns.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road. Bro. Dennis King officiating. Interment will be in Bardstown Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 pm until time of the funeral service. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to Hospice of Nelson County. The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
