Obituary for Peggy Teresa Janes

A Bardstown resident, Mrs. Peggy Teresa Janes, age 75, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 in Baptist Healthcare in Louisville. She was born July 31, 1942 in Bloomfield to the late James and Beatrice Martin Hilbert. Peggy was a homemaker and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church where she was an active and faithful member.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Janes, her daughter, Kelli Janes, a sister, Anna Ruth McMichael, and a brother, Kelly Keith Hilbert.
She is survived by her 3 grandchildren, Alisha Higgs of Louisville, Jonathan Higgs, Dylan Blair, both of Bardstown, her sister, Judy (Dottie) Shewmaker of Louisville, and her brother, Jimmy (Janet) Hilbert of Bardstown.
Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Teresa Janes will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road. Bro. Danny Haynes and Bro. Gary Chesser will officiate. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-8:00 pm. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to Gideon’s International. The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
